My Diary Notebook

My notebook and watercolor     Recently I'm obsessed to Traveler's Notebook. However I brought a handmade cover just like it due to some reasons,  since I got it I'm bring it with me everywhere.  It's actually dark blue but looks like black as shown in the photo.  From Taobao Photo from the Taobao store where I brought my handmade notebook. They also have many kinds of inserts, stickers and tapes. I'm so glad that after many years later, I start to write diary again. I also love watercolor, so I paint most of the pictures instead of all words. I don't force myself to write or draw something everyday, that will make me lose interests, instead I just do it anytime I want.  Actually these are my first few works with watercolor, I didn't attend any class about drawing and of course I'm not professional about this. But as I first saw watercolor paintings, I just fell in love with it, I like the nature pattern left...

About Ubuntu on Surface Pro 4

I tried. Here is the thing, my Surface is i5 8G RAM / 256G, and I brought a 64G micro-SD card for extra space. So I try to install Ubuntu on my microSD card, that actually works but not good. I ask for help from my friend to use his flash drive to install Ubuntu on my sd card, but it's not easy to let UEFI recognize it. Somehow I cannot enter GRUB even though I set it to the first place in boot order list, so we use rEFInd to enter GRUB so that I can enter Ubuntu. Luckily I can use Ubuntu now! However it is not over yet. We found that the keyboard cannot work at all, that means I cannot type my password and press enter. 😒 To solve this, we found a kernel, I think it's this . But problems just keep coming out, like screen brightness, this one is easy just add one line to set it to certain value you like in /etc/re.local. Another problem is touch screen is useless, the one cannot fix yet. What's more, the secure boot is disable so every time I start my surface there...

A Good Way Found to Sync PDF Reading Notes

Recently I have many papers to read, you know, because of new semester. T T However not every paper need to be printed out, and some compulsory books have too many pages to print, so I need a tool to sync my comments and notes. Hopefully I can read them on my laptop, tablet or even phone while on a bus (okay just kidding). Everyone knows Dropbox, but when you wanna read files on iPhone, Dropbox keep them on your phone. My phone don't have so many space, and they haven't fix this problem yet. Luckily now Adobe Acrobat can open files from Dropbox account, so I just install Adobe, make notes, then it automatically sync my notes to cloud. Now I can make notes whenever I want, the functions are almost the same on ios and pc. Of course I hope there's not so many compulsory readings : )

Win 10 Mail and Calendar Cannot Sync

It shows that "we didn't find anything to show here" even after I click sync button. I google and try many solution about this, but none of them works. But luckily when I try to uninstall Mail and Calendar, actually it cannot be uninstalled, I found the 'reset' button in 'Advanced options'. Obviously it said if not working just reset it. Then everything solved! It is good because your account will not be removed after this, just try it when sync is not working.
